Community Nutrition Resources, Inc.

"Improving Child Nutrition One Meal At A Time"

Welcome to Community Nutrition Resources.

We are a 501 (c ) (3) non-profit organization and a proud sponsor of the federally funded Child and Adult Care Food Program.

Our mission is to improve the health, nutrition and safety of at-risk children and older adults in care while promoting the development and maintenance of good eating habits.

We help to accomplish this through providing education and assistance of nutrition, health and safety issues facing caretakers. Our target audience is at risk low-income individuals residing on American Indian Reservations in Arizona. The definition of low income is based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines and is an indicator of a child’s and older adults’ at-risk status.

Community Nutrition Resources provides assistance to serve nutritious meals to children in day care homes and centers.

Other assistance is also provided to the very low-income caretaker to assure they can provide a healthy and safe environment. This includes education in nutrition, health, wellness, and safety, the provision of homecare items, business tools, and home safety items, as well as access to resources, and referrals. Some examples of safety items we distribute are smoke detectors and first aid kits.

Community Nutrition Resources welcomes donations. All donations are tax deductible and helps us to carry out our mission.
